2018 Judge – Louisa Burfardeci

Louise Bufardeci, 2018 Judge of the St Kevin's College Art Show.

Louisa Bufardeci is a contemporary artist who has been exhibiting since 1997. Her practice comprises both two-dimensional work such as digital prints, charts, maps, embroidery as well as larger scale gallery installations. She is interested in statistical information and visual coding systems that interpret the way in which humans operate. Through this detailed analysis, her work comments on the digital world in a bid to raise awareness of systems which govern society.
Bufardeci’s work has been included in significant curated exhibitions such as the NGV Triennial in 2018 and the Asia Pacific Triennial in Brisbane in 2012/13 and have been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney and Monash University Museum of Art among others.

Bufardeci has a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters of Fine Arts. She lives and works in Melbourne and has two nephews at St Kevin’s College.
